Topic:   What is KaLYPSO?

All projects in astronomy have their acronyms, and we’re very proud of ours…. KaLYPSO stands for Kleinmann-Low Young ProtoStellar Object after the American astronomers Douglas Kleinmann and Frank Low who first described this region in 1967. Since then, the Kleinmann-Low Nebula has been one of the most-actively studied regions in the Milky Way.
